Smoke form Pre Heater?

Had a look around the forum but still not sure whats going on, 07 TDV8 Vogue, large amount of smoke coming from the passenger side 2 to 3 minutes after start up and really noticeable when stopping at lights, junctions. Guess its the Pre-Heater but whats causing the smoke? un-burt fuel?

Is this a "bend over main dealer fix" Bow down or can I buy a replacement "something or other and fit it myself"? Thumbs Up

Thanks

Normal operation , not a problem

As above, normal at this time of year. It has been sitting idle all year and will need a few cycles to clean itself out.

a better way to purge it is to used the timed climate for 20mins before you want to use the car to fully get the unit up to temp and burn the deposits off Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

when they replaced mine last year the smoke/fumes it gave out (new one) was extraordinary!

normal operation for it to give a bit of smoke, general rule of thumb, if there is warm air coming out of the vents its working fine Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

there is nothing more satisfying than getting into a warm car at this time of year when it is damp and cold on a morning, I use my heater all the time. the remote control is the best thing, sat in the house with a warm coffee, press the button and bobs yer uncle, on she goes, blowing smelly diesel fumes all over next doors car while they are trying to scrape the ice off the windows...
