How long should I wait?

Placed order and deposit for L405 SDV8 SE in February. Luxor/Ivory interior. Usual options like Pano. roof, closing vehicle/blind spot/reverse, surround camera, privacy glass, tow bar.
Dealer still not provided delivery date. Is this normal or due to pano roof? Had no date before roof issue anyway.
I have arranged my own finance rather than JLR option. Have I been leap-frogged in favour of customers taking JLR finance where dealer and JLR make more profit?
All I get from dealer are excuses about limited allocation. I am told it should be available in first quarter 2014 and that could be 13 months from order!!!
Is it me or do others have a similar problem.
Had I ordered the Cayenne, I would have had it well in time for September.
Any comments would be helpful.

All UK dealers have now had their allocation for Jan, Feb and March production. If you had ordered in Feb I would have expected your vehicle to have been in one of these allocations if not before.

Can I suggest asking for the Common Order Number. This is generated when the vehicle is loaded in to the Holding Pool and is not reliant on the dealer having allocation to order it. We use this number to track our orders through build etc.

Any reluctance to give you this would suggest an issue with your order.

I hope that helps and if I can do anymore please feel free to PM me on here or email me directly jeremy.jackson@hadleygreen.co.uk
