Hi Joker, I have seen that page, but it doesn't say which year was more unreliable. I have heard that from 2005/6 things improved a lot, just wanted real life confirmation of this. My uncle's 2006 had the front diff go on the M1, among lesser probs. his 2007/8 has almost been problem free but his is a diesel, so has its own problems. |

I have been through this forum searching for as much info on a 4.2 vogue se as I can get. What I get is one person's very bad experience, though his tenacity with the dealer is exempulary what I also get is a thread starting on the 4.2 but a lot of noise about diesels which i have absolutely no interest in. I've also been in the LPG threads where someone has asked for actual experience and gets everything but that.

Beg, borrow or steal one for a week then you will be hooked, there really is nothing to beat an FFRR IMHO (not really steal ) 2013 L405 Autobiography Baltic Blue

Thanks for the heads up, defo want the key in the dash model with terrain. Very disappointed that Saxton's seem to be the only one with ffrr's that meet all my requirements. Waiting for lump of cash to come in in the next couple of weeks and have seen one possible one which will hopefully be an orphan long enough for me to grab it. Just missed an 07 with v low mileage and from a rr dealer.

Thanks for the replies, very much appreciated. A friend is going to lend me a 2007 vogue se in next couple of weeks for a weekend. I'm already sold on the looks, practicality and noise, just need my wife to be convinced it's not too big for her.

I thought that would be my problem when I bought my first one. However when my wife drove one for the first time, she was utterly hooked.

My two peneth worth (for what it's worth) is why LPG an SC FF? If you have a £30k budget and your only going to run it for haydays and holidays, why LPG it? It's a performance engine! Why run it on an economy fuel? My last SC was gassed when I bought it... I ran that car for 2 1/2 yrs and didn't use the gas! It cost me maybe an extra £800 in petrol to cover the 6000 miles I traveled (using it for weekends & holidays) and IMHO why would I risk a £6-£8k bill for an engine to save £800? And also to have all the hassles we read about on here with EM lights on constantly and poor performance being just a few... (You'll probably spend the £800 you saved in visits to the garage anyway)
