Pirelli Scorpian are always a good choice for a L322. Thumbs Up

The Scorpians:

1. Track very well
2. Wear well
3. Grip well
4. Deal with mild snow/ice well
5. Look good especially the aggressive side wall tread.
6. Are Land Rovers recommendation.

Thumbs Up

My scorpions in 20" did not wear well at all - In Fact they were foxing shocking ! 11k on the front and 16k on the rear! The odd thing is scorpions in 19" on another L322 of mine lasted 25k that said I do like scorpions but the Grabbers look BAD ASS ! And go absolutely anywhere!

(Hate that bad ass yank phrase but its the only appropriate way of describing the Generals !👹)

+1 for the vredestein wintertrac, fitted mine 2 weeks ago and drove them to Switzerland. They look good, feel good and the sound is OK as it is not much louder then my Continental summer tires.

It's a good job you don't like bikes, I managed 1100 miles out of a rear tyre on it at £170 a pop too!!.

In honesty I agree with you though 11k is pretty shocking for something like a Scorpion, I've put some on mine because I only really needed to replace two and I've now got a complete set of 4, plus I got a great deal on them, when these have worn out though I will be going for a set of Grabbers.

Just an update on these General AT tyres - still on the same set @ 35k miles on them and still 6mm of tread left! Even wear and if anything they are now really quiet. 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

Have decided to replace my 255 50 20s with 275 45 20 when the time comes. I think i will go for General grabber at. have had Cooper LTZs in the past on my discovery and was very happy with the look and grip but had bother with the sidewalls splitting (common problem apparently). Shame really as they were a fab tyre Sad

Glad I found this thread - I have a 2012 FFRR and its on 20 inch wheels - has been on Scorpions 255 50 20

Ideally was looking to move to tyres that give better muddy off road grip as I take the FafRar off road when shooting

Wasn't aware that grabbers were an option on the 20 inch wheels

Sounds like the Gneral Grabbers in 275 x 45 20 may be the way to go

Can folk who have used both confirm that they are not unreasonably noisy on motorways and that they will give an appreciable increase in mud and snow grip over the Scorpions - if so that's the route I will be going this weekend
