I have Bt infinity fibre optic broadband at home and it's been great for over a year. Now all of a sudden a strange problem has arisen. I can connect to the internet wirelessly with my phone and ipad, my wife's phone and ipad but just yesterday my smart tv and my laptop and also an xbmc box refuse to do so. The laptop shows connection but only local. I tried all that I know which isn't a lot but I would appreciate any guidance you guys can give. I cannot understand why some things will connect and some won't as they can't all have gone faulty at once. Agueroooooooooo. 93-20

Right I've just spent an hour with the BT helpline chap who finished up insisting it was a fault with my wireless connection in the house after trying all he new and saying I would have to pay and get my own engineer to look at it. After a round of both barrels from me quoting how much I pay and how little they do for it he tried a hard reset on the hub and hey presto all up and running.

Glad it's working. Maybe a word with Customer Service is in order. That could have been an expensive run around when it was their fault all along. |
