Is there a good, or bad colour scheme?

I am currently seeking my next FF. The head says diesel, but the heart says SC, I currently thoroughly enjoy my 4.4 petrol, and have done for 3 years. I am very interested in your views on car colours as I, possibly like most of you, have to choose from the available selection of pre owned specifications. I am not a fan of the black varieties, though most look lovely, bot looking beyond my own tastes, I would be very interested to read your views on so called great / good colour and spec combinations, and of course, there may well be colours / interiors you would not buy.
My target car will be circa 10 / 60 / 11 reg, SC and ideally AB, though original owners specifications do vary tremendously for their own tastes and requirements.
My 'target' colours, from those I've seen so far, are Galway green, Stornaway grey, Tonga blue and Ipanema (sand?) ideally with ivory interior.
My current FF is, I believe, Epsom green with ivory interior, Vogue model, which looks fantastic (when its clean).
I'm sure you each love your own FF too, and have your own ideas on my questions, though your 'perfect' ideal car is not necessarily the one you currently have?! would love to hear from you. Thumbs Up

You will struggle to get a Galway Green, they're pretty rare, and surely you want a bit of a change from Green after all this time?

Stornoway with Jet interior is a great combo

There's no such colour as Tonga Blue, there was a Tonga green but you won't find those Model Years range in that colour.

Ipanema with light coloured interiors are about, they're not the most popular so you might be able to negotiate, they seem to be bought by the slightly older owner (Sorry Frank!)

Good luck with your search. Thumbs Up Discovery 4 HSE

I think Stornoway Grey with Ivory Interior looks great (although in the brochure it's not one of the LR designer colour combos)...

My first RR had that and I searched hard for another one before having to settle on Santorini (being the only colour available in the spec I wanted.

I know you want the SC (which comes in AB version as standard), but give the 4.4TDV8 a go, it may surprise you... MY11 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 - "African Queen"

totally subjective, go with what you like I would say. You have to live with it. Black and silver and grey seem to be the most popular colours I reckon go with your gut. If you happen to like a less popular colour you will prob pay less for it in the first place so it all balances out. My car is older than you are looking for and is tonga green with sand and walnut. I like it many others dont, you wouldnt get me tooling around in a blacked out black Range Rover. I wouldnt want people knocking on the window everytime i stopped at traffic lights trying to buy pills and powders, but I know I am definately in the minority. Site sponsors exluded, when you go to buy it, it will be in the popular colour sir, when you eventually chop it in, it will be in the wrong colour sir. Very Happy

What about Adriatic Blue?

I really love the colour of my TD6, especially with the Ivory and Blue Piping on the interior.

My absolute favourite though, would have to be a dark grey metallic paint scheme, with ivory or parchment interior.

Buy the colour YOU want, not what might be popular. I personally prefer light airy interiors like Sand, Ivory or Parchment. I don,t like black, grey or blue interiors - but that's my choice, might not be the most popular choices but that doesn't make it right or wrong. I would be more concerned in buying a good one and keeping it fresh to maximise resale value than worrying about what might be the most popular interior colour

One of my last RR had the sand interior with charcoal carpet and sand over mats - I managed to obtain a premium for the vehicle when px'ing as the dealer had no stock of that colour combination
