Oil leaks on 4.4 V8

Ok I've been trying to find the source of these oil leaks, one has been cured which was selonoid vanos gaskets. The other looks like it coming from maybe the timing chain cover right hand side but hard to see. Also I could see a drip coming from something on the side of the engine where the oil filter pipes go to, maybe somebody could tell me what this part is? There are two rubber O rings which could be the source of the leak?

I can't seem to rotate this pic as its sideways.

This is the part taken off the engine & also the part no I believe & also you can see one of the O rings I'm talking about.

This is how it sits on the engine & the oil drip is always on that bottom left bolt.

That's the oil line mounting bracket, take the O rings to a motor factors, they will be cheaper than the dealer... Pete

Thanks Pete. Are these a known source of of oil leaks on these engines? The O rings do look ok though. 2004 RR 4.4 V8 Autobiography

Can't say I've heard of it but they could be, usually leaks come from the cam covers, they are tricky to replace and I've read a lot about "fixed" ones leaking again after a short time...

best to clean off as much as you can then start the engine and look for the exact spot... Pete

I've cleaned the engine off 3 times now trying to track it down. I notice while it's hot & running no leaks but shortly after turning off the drips apear. I'm guessing it's down to the metal expanding when hot sealing the leak, leading me to think it's more than Likely the timing chain cover. I can also see evidence of RTV silicone in and around the timing chain cover gasket. 2004 RR 4.4 V8 Autobiography

it's quite a job to remove the lower chain cover. but the two top chain (upper) cover ones are much easier, and have rubber gaskets that go hard/brittle. remember, its the rocker covers off first. you need to use RTV even when replacing the new gaskets, as they struggle in the corners to seal. plenty of cleanliness to aid adhesion of RTV

-i'm sure you will sort this out soon.

it doesn't help either when your oil isnt that black!
