Using the IID tool

Hiya all
Running my new-to-me S/C now, with the 2010 front end, the warning light for the adaptive headlight is on - I seem to remember reading that you can turn it off with the IID tool, but how? I have searched for it but can't find the OP about this.

I have another problem - the IID tool keeps saying ' Update Failed' when I try to do a fault clear using the tool, and I can't access the CCF. Any ideas chaps?

you can switch off the hot and cold bulb monitoring but yours is a 2003 and as far as i know it shouldnt have adaptive headlights..
now if the 2010 has adaptive lights and your using a 2003 IIDTool then that could be a problem [i think]

for the other problem, contact GAP they respond very quickly... ... - .- -.

Sorry Stan, I need to update my profile... I have a 57 plate S/C now, still got the 53 plate but it will be going on sale soon....

The iid tool I am using is the correct one for the later cars, and I have registered it to the VIN.

ahh, understand now...

try turning off the cm and hm for the dipped lights , hopefully that will sort out the error..

you should have the ccf on the menu tree, have a look at the drop down menu on the GAP site to see what you can do ,
