2005 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Tangiers Orange
FFRR MY02 lockdown / lockout mode

a friends FFRR needs a new engine, so it's sat on his drive for 3 months whilst saving the dosh required. In that time, the battery went totally dead and has gone into 'lockdown' type mode - can't get into vehicle at all. Remote fob nor keys will allow access.

Not sure what the right term is for this, so can't seem to search or google it. Dealer says only option is to smash a side window to gain entry and lift bonnet to replace battery - is this correct ?  RR Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange 4.2 V8 First edition

take the side indicator out and connect a charger to the terminals, wait and the battery should hopefully charge up.. ... - .- -.

Or if it has a towbar with electrics, connect a charger to the electrics.

cheers, will let him know and hope one of those works. I assume it's a trickle charge and could take 24 hours to charge the battery?

Yes, I do. And I started a thread asking about this car and how to tell if it's a genuine Kahn. I emailed the seller (it's on ebay too) and no reply !  RR Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange 4.2 V8 First edition

well the amount of work that has been done to it, could be done by anyone really. So unless you go to see if it has the plate stamped on it somewhere I guess you wont know. Unless the dealer ever gets off his ass and replies to you. That being said It looks like quite a lot of work, so it is probably more then your average DIY'er.

Body kit must be 2.5-3k
Seats would be originals trimmed, so probably 100-150 each
Dash and center arm rest probably another 100
Alloys can be up to 2k
Exhaust doesn't look like a Kahn one to me, but probably 300
Steering wheel is about 350 from powerful uk

So it has had some work done to it I've probably missed something out of there too, and these prices are all approximations so it might even cost way more than that... Mr. Green Bushy
