Follow up on the Wheel Change … Quandry

Since the RAC guy came out to change the front wheel … Now the quandary is because i had 4 ATR'S on the car and the one that has been changed is just a normal tyre …

The punctured ATR cannot be repaired ..

So now do i buy another ATR or 4 other normal road tyres ( 1 to replace spare that was used )

Or just put another normal tyre on the passenger side Whistle

Into the bargain my front passenger side looks as if it has limited mileage left on it …

Just buy 2 new atrs. Then move them to the back and the backs to the front and you'll be fine and much better off.

The tyre place should do the swap for you.

Is it helpful if I say I for 2 brand new 19" atrs for just over £100 just before I took my ff off the road Wink FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

If I bought yours I would also then need to buy 2 tyres ....

Anyhow just been told you can run with ATR's and normal tyres on a FF .....

Whether the guy was talking pish I don't know as this came from a LR wheel guy , who also said its a myth that you need to put your suspension up and tailgate open when jacking a FF up Whistle Whistle ====================================

Where is your ATR punctured Mick as sidewall punctures and such can be repaired to a proper BS standard and last well, My ATR's are repaired in this way and some of my MT/R's as well as the MT/R's have taken a hammering off road! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Mick, you've got 2 options.

1. Take the "un-repairable" tyre to a lorry tyre place. It absolutely can be repaired, just not by Krap-Fit type places.
2. Buy 2 new ATR's. Take remaining good ATR on the axle and keep as a spare.

Seriously fella, don't believe what Kwik-Fit tell you. I've had more than one repaired which ATS told me to throw away. Last price I paid was 35 quid for a sidewall repair to British Standards (SQMBO kerbed it and pinched out a large chunk) against about 260 for a new tyre.
