EAS Inactive-In Africa nothing is easy so please help guys

Hi Guys

Well I'm not in the jungle but here in SA things are not always easy!!

Got in the car before returning home today and was greeted with "Air Suspension Inactive".The car seems to be sitting at normal height so I came directly home (a drive of about 2km's).

I need to decide whether to take the car to the nearest LR dealer which is about 70KM's away or to a local independent who Iam told can work on FFRR's.

What would be the first thing to check on the car and are their logical steps which should be worked through as I don't want to be told that parts need replacing before they can be diagnosed as being at fault?

Is the car OK to drive the 70km's if that is my only option?

I really could do with some input to avoid causing any damage which could lead to lengthy spell off the road.

if its came up with ''air suspension inactive'' and the vehicle is at what appears to be normal height and hasnt sank to the bumpstops then its a soft fault as in the eas ecu is unable to determine something.
what year is the vehicle ?

and it might be worth replacing the pressure switch in the pump as these play up all the time and are usually the item at fault Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
also hows the weather out there Rolling with laughter onto no6 Range Rover

Thanks for the help guys.

Its a 2003 TD6.

Took it to an independent yesterday and Iam still waiting to hear something but he tells me that if he gets any fault codes that he cannot regognise then he speaks with the nearest LR dealership who help him out.

Fingers crossed its a simple issue but I will replace the pressure switch as suggested.

Just a thought but I have seen the air suspension made by Arnott ind in the USA and given that even getting parts here can be a nightmare might order a complete set and keep them for a rainy day,I have only had the FFRR for a short while but when I change Iam going to get a newer one so the air springs may be useful one day.

Anyone have any thoughts about the Arnott parts?

Weather here in the Southern Cape is coming for winter so its only going to be about 24 degrees later today,cold,so I might have to get out my only pair of long trousers Sad
