road trip

i had i nice trip in the range to dusseldorf and back covering 818 miles at an average of 22.9 mpg which for a s/c and for average speeds of 80 mph isnt that bad..
my range performed faultlessly with only a very slight steering vibration around 85 mph which i think might be down to wheel alignment which is on my 'to do' list..
i didnt drive around dusseldorf but drove to the hotel and parked up and used me feet and the tram to get about..the hotels underground carpark had a height limit of 1.9 metres which worried me a bit but i stuck it in access and drove very slowly,

my range 'tucked up' for a few days,

at the end of my break i parked it in front on the hotel for the residents to drool over,

...and the obligatory 'food' stop on the way back,

didnt know that this handy holder for cans of redbull had been incorporated in the centre console,

..and letting the train take the strain on the way back,

Thumbs Up You are lucky down south that you have a link to Europe for those little trips... It's a marathon just to get down to the Chunnel for us. It's the skiing trips I miss. Good consumption figures if hitting 85mph... Previously..

22mpg! Shocked

I quite like Dusseldorf. The boat show there is excellent. Were you there for a particular reason?

Funny, I always thought they were a southern german thing. Been to the one in Freiburg and a few in Switzerland but not anywhere else. How much beer did you have in the back, or was it german sausage in your rear?
