I'll go along with Jayzee, I use 2 memory positions. On normal journeys, I like the front edge of the seat set to almost it's maximum height as prefer to drive with my legs more 'bent' than 'straight', however, on longer journeys, the angle can become uncomfortable after a while so I have a 2nd basically identical memory set up but with the front edge of the seat a few centimetres lower and works fine for me. All boils down to legs being in the same place for extended periods (I don't bother left foot braking or anything so my left leg does nothing). Steve

)....but I still have a problem which comes on after only a few miles!!! I didn't really want to raise this with the rest of the forum for fear of being shot down in flames for criticising the damn cars reputation for comfort...but it IS BLOODY UNCOMFORTABLE for an £80K vehicle and I now hate driving it for much more than half an hour at a time ...the irritating thing is when I jump into my daughters £5k Corsa it feels great and would have no problem comfort wise driving a couple of hundred miles in it at a time!!! The same goes for my son's Shogun all of this makes me think that it can't be altogether a sciatica issue but more of an unfortunate peculiar problem that seems to affect me with LandRovers

i find my seats more than comfortable and they are only the hse ones....i have been thinking about buying the vogue seats as ive been offerd all the seats for £400 so a real bargin |

Hard to believe, but that was my impression too! Used HSE seats for a long time, then tried Vogue ones (along with confort seats in a BMW X5 which are the same seats pretty much) and I always thought HSE ones are more comfortable! No shooting down from me. The later seats from 07 are not good enough for a vehicle that costs what a new FFRR does. I've had cars for half the cost with seats that are better. It's the only fly in the FFRR ointment, but it's also quite a big one. Which is a shame on such a fantastic car. |

If it's in your right thigh then it's probably to do with the position of your throttle foot. How tall are you / long are your legs? Do you have the seat raised up so that you can see the bonnet? I'm wondering if you've got the seat too high and as a result are having to stretch your throttle foot. This would probably cause your thigh muscle to tense up resulting in an ache and if the stretch leg restricts blood flow since you're sitting down then numbness would no doubt follow. |

I also find the seats quite uncomfortable, I find them too wide, with no ability to change the sides. I know there not bucket seats but I find I'm sliding between the bolsters. I'm no giant but these cars are also driven by plentyy of slim women who must feel the same. |
