You could on the 2006, you voicetagged the memory points. Not tried it on the 2010 yet, mainly because I only used it one on the 2006! Navigation go home is a standard one that takes you to the "home" which you have set. Navigation I'm hungry is a good one, although 50% of the time it showed Leisure centres on my 2006!?! I think it was trying to tell me something! Land Rover Addict XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Previous XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX 2009 5.0V8SC Autobiography 2006 4.2V8SC Autobiography 2004 4.4V8 Vogue |

Yeah. As Thrasher pointed out, you used to be able to voicetag memory points that way. (i can do this on my 07 LR3). But my dad had stored all of us kids as memory points and wanted to voicetag them so he could just say "go to (kid's name here)" But the option to store a voicetag to existing memory points is missing. You can say "navigation, store name" and you can store your current position with a voicetag. I thought maybe I could go back and then edit the address of the voicetag you just stored, but you can only change the name...address isn't editable. |

Same here. Total tech-geek and still only use the voice command for tuning just as a novelty. Then again, my LR3 has hard-buttons that will let me type in a station # directly But see, I was thinking the voice tuning and audio switching would actually be hugely helpful for my dad who seems to be getting lost/frustrated with all the touchscreen menus you have to tap through. So I assured him he could just switch from iPod to Satellite radio by voice, but alas...no more! |

The best way to do it, is to configure a navigation Personal point, Business, Entertainment. Then, when you edit that point, you can change icons, sounds, etc...and also add a voice tag. Then all you have to do is say, navigation, go to ''...''

The steps you've outlined is how I do it on my LR3 (and presumably older Range Rovers) but when I went through the steps to edit his existing memory points, I didn't see an option for voicetag. Did I miss something? |
