Parking ticket

Got a ticket today parked on a yellow in borough of westinster. I'm challenging it on the grounds that although the area is supposed to be a CPZ I couldn't see any signs to state this. I only know its a CPZ when I looked on the council parking zone map.

One question is when I challenge does anyone know what the situation is if they issue a rejection. On the back of the ticket it says that if its rejected there's then a 14 day period to pay the reduced rate of £65. What then if I challenge their rejection and they then have to look into it? Do I then have an extended period of paying the reduced rate of £65 until they make their final decision?

The area in question is Westbourne Park in London. 2009 Vogue TDV8 Nara Bronze

Would have thought other ff owners would have been witness to this experience. Anyway for those who are bothered I am challenging the ticket on account of no CPZ signs apparent. 2009 Vogue TDV8 Nara Bronze

This may seem a bit of a strange question , but is the borough of Westminster the same as Westminster city council? If so I believe the appeals are dealt with out of a call centre where my girl friend worked from a couple of years ago. I will try and investigate some successful excuses for you. 56 TDV8 Vogue SE

Yep, tell them you couldn't move the FF due to a flat battery. They probably have a whole file on this.... 2006 4.2 SC

Martin Lewis has posted this on his website.. Might help

50% who fight unfair parking tickets win

A toy car being towed
Getting an unfair parking ticket from an official body, such as a council or the police, is a sting in the tailpipe.

See the Parking Ticket Appeals guide for step-by-step info on what to do, but here are some quick tips first.

If you've got a good case, it's worth fighting it, as 50% who take their appeal to the independent tribunal win.

You normally have the right to appeal twice to the body that issued the ticket. If that fails, then take your challenge to the independent adjudicator. If your car's been clamped or towed away, you can appeal once to the council/police, then to the independent tribunal.

Yes the borough of Westminster falls within Westminster CC. I've asked them to provide a signage map to verify where the signs are supposed to be as I couldn't see any.

The car was literally on the yellow line for around 2 minutes, this guy on a scooter appeared from nowhere and said that I couldn't even leave the car there for a minute. How pathetic. 2009 Vogue TDV8 Nara Bronze
