Steve, can you supply the forum a definitive list of ecu's / circuits that are live when the OBD PORT cover is left open please.. ... - .- -.

A definitive list of ECUs is hard to provide as this is highly dependent on what is installed in the vehicle. There should be no difference between the cover open or closed, though. I assume you mean because of the contacts in the cover? These contacts just provide 12v to busses to reduce the (unlikeley) possibility of erroneous signals.

Why the new thread (just out of curiosity)? 
RRC 2Dr, RRC 4Dr,

interesting that the cover doesnt make a difference to power drain..a member with this symptom had his cover open, has now closed it and has no drain...

new thread was started for easy search purposes Steve.. ... - .- -.
