You can deffo DIY. I did it, albeit there were a few challenges on the way!
Once you've disconnected your CD changer (the only fiddly bit) and removed it from the glove-box (not 100% necessary, but it does leave you with a lot of extra room in the glove-box), attach the 2 cables to the Intravee, attach the Intravee to the Alpine KC420i Ipod Adapter (which you will need to play your Ipod), then attach Alpine to Ipod and off you go! But you may wish to read this link about my trials and tribulations, especially with software!
