Auto locking doors

...isn't working, is it a dealer alteration or a series of secret buttons I can press to make this live.

With kids I just prefer it when the doors lock automatically on take off Very Happy Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Why not just put the rear door locks on if it will only be the kids in the back .... Small flick switch is on the inside of the doors next to the lock mechanism ...

But if you prefer them to be activated I guess it's a trip to the dealers or an IID tool . I think Thumbs Up

I have autolock doors (vital in this country) and it is definitely a computer based change. I used my Faultmate and you can set the speed at which it locks as well (steps of 2 mph I believe). The IID tool can most likely do it and of course the dealer Testbook T4.

Like I said, it is vital here and would be in other places where security could be an issue.

It won't keep the kids in the back though, for that you need the little child lock switch on the doors. You can still open the doors with the central locking option, you just pull the door handle (inside only) twice and you are out. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Auto lock was switched off when we bought ours main dealer wanted £48 for parts to switch it on, promptly told to f##k off as they where at it.
Switched on for free when it was pointed out to them it was an option on the ccf benefit of being on this forum. Gone
