Strange noise.

My 2011 4.4 TDV8 is going in for service next week and I have mentioned when booking that I can hear a rather strange noise from around 30/40 mph. I can only describe the noise as a rather muffled groaning noise rather like bearing rumble. It can only be heard plainly between these speeds and more plainly on a quiet road surface. I was wondering how the dealer would be able to trace something like this, perhaps on a rolling road ??? Or has anyone experience this sort of thing on a RR that has done less than 9000 miles. Agueroooooooooo. 93-20
I swear you will never see anything like this ever again....watch it..drink it in.

Often down to Tyre wear issues... With the roads in a state the tracking can be knocked out weekly Shocked

Take the car for a test drive with a tech and then you can point out the noise/problem... Thumbs Up

An easy check is to run your hand around your tyres and see if they are wearing like the teeth on a saw blade! That creates lots of noise!

Thanx for the reply, I've just nipped outside and had a look at and felt the tyres as you suggest but all seems normal. Agueroooooooooo. 93-20
