United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black

Lol. That is my first prize ever ...

Northernmonkeyjones, thanks for the pointers. Yes, it is a 4.4. Bought 2nd hand with full service history last year which does not tell me much unfortunately as to what / how things may have been fixed in the past.

Car was just serviced and nothing untowards was identified by LR. Pads at 30% and unremarkable discs. Most probable is too much heat was put into discs - the car was heavy loaded and we were doing top speed so lots of pressure on the brakes.

I will check all of these points with care over the weekend and report back for future reference.

When you check it over the weekend, check for manufacturers marks to see if the pads are JLR or not? Its been well documented that aftermarket pads DONT work in the 4pot Brembo’s so, i can't see the 6pot's would fare any better!
