Illuminated sill plates.

I'm after some illuminated sill plates and am finding it hard to track some down.

I've found a pair on eBay but the advert states that they're for L322 models 2010 onwards only. I was just wondering why they wouldn't fit earlier models and whether it would bean easy mod at all?

They prize upwards with a screwdriver under them as held down with plastic poppers (quite tight though) and are simple to wire up with a 12v live & earth Thumbs Up

Thanks Craig. Just need to locate the door light switch wiring now to connect them to. 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Baltic Blue MY11

Cheers for the tips Craig. A cheeky offer of £225 secured my set. Might give them a ring tomorrow morning as I'll be heading past Leeds on the way back from Harrogate.

I got them by accident without ordering. They were on the car by delivery.

And i have to say that they are not too fancy. The green color is disappointing. I prefer a white color.

I wouldn't spend my money on it unless I could put some white led's in it. 2017 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 silicon silver

Just picked them up. Not opened the box yet but was just wondering if there were dedicated cables tucked away somewhere that I just had I find or whether I had to tap into either the lower footwell light or one of the door lights?

Well, the instructions state that once you take off the original sill and pull off a small cover that runs up the side of the dashboard end, there should be a cable with and end plug which is sheathed. You take the sheath off and plug it into the socket which is stuck under the illuminated tread plate.

Can I find the cable? Can I Censored .

Looks like there's been some butchering of the cable on my car as some have been cut and taped up. Yours might be there if the cabling hasn't been played with. It really is a ten minute job each side if the plug is already there. Let me know how you get on.

Got myself a £2.99 12v tester which lights up if it hits a live cable. Successfully tapped into a live on each side and there's a handy earthing point on each side too. All in all took me around 30 minutes. I'll try and post some pics of the glow when it gets dark later.
