EAS completely off

Just when I thought I had finished the rebuild of my 2007 S/C, it's thrown a big wobbler - the EAS is completely dead, no lights on switch, nothing. The IID tool is saying CAO0001 EAS Module, nothing else, and it won't clear the fault. I have checked the fuses front and rear, all fine, battery well charged, had battery off for 30 mins, connect together neg/pos leads with battery off, had a look at the module while it was depowered, pulled and refitted plugs all look fine, no water been near it eg accidental ingress. I have done the full lock to lock 'reset' although not sure if its necessary on the later cars.
It was working spot on during the week... I did let the battery run a bit flat while I was messing, so the car struggled to start, I am wondering if this has done it. Any thoughts? Do the modules go often/all at once/ without the car being driven? Another thing, there is nothing coming up on the dash display, eg inactive message etc, and the remaining systems eg terrain response doesn't seem to know that the the air suspension dept isn't coming along to do its bit anytime soon - I thought that TR etc would lock out as well? All replies appreciated....

Have you tried driving the vehicle a few yards to see if the EAS kicks in?

Sorry me bad Bow down

i havent seen ever a dead eas module so think we can exclude it at this stage
Are you getting any other faults alongside, as lack communication with eas should cascade
other faults

I wouldnt be familiar wit IID tool (i am LR guy so work on SDD)
can you do network integration test with IID

I had similar problem with srs module battery voltage put srs into fault
i did try to reset it with some aftermarket diagnostic tool (it did reset the srs for me before but not this time)
i ended up connecting ids and off she goes all cleared

i believe IID is a great tool just trying to say if all seems ok it wouldnt be a harm to try other diagnostics to reset it

Thanks for the quick reply, glad to hear that it's unlikely to be the module, no other faults showing eg Terrain response, will have another look tomorrow then if no joy, will try a different diagnostic at my Indy...

a dodgy battery can cause a multitude of problems with the fullfat, i'd start with that first.. ... - .- -.

It's worth checking that the EAS isn't in "build mode" - the symptoms you describe sound very like the problem that I had. You'll find build mode in the "service/Test" menu on IID - it is very easy to select it accidently, don't ask how I know this !

Thanks for all replies, rang my usual excellent Indy today - Claughton service centre - they are mega busy as staff on hols, could not fit me in, took it to Independent Landrover Services Preston, for a diagnostics check on T4, found no settings for calibration in EAS module - nothing at all apparently - so it had locked out, they reinstalled factory settings then calibrated to the car, two lots of measurements, all working fine now. They found a transient fault with the front cross link valve failing to close when requested, but then couldn't repeat it, something to keep an eye on in future, although the guy didn't think this had caused the loss of settings, more likely to be the time last week when I tried to start it with the battery half - flat. At the time, it did that thing where you think it's not going to turn over, but I kept the key turned and it slowly spun it into life, something else to keep in mind - not to try and start if you know the battery is nearly flat.
Anyway, thanks to ILS and 50 squid for their services, all ok again.

Should have mentioned, I had fully re- charged the battery after the initial episode, it's a good battery so knew it was ok, but agree that unless you can rule out this aspect, it should always be a first point to consider.
