Used smartphone advice req . . .

I've surrendered my 'phone to my son for secondary school.
I'm looking at getting a SIM contract and buying a used smartphone - probably a iphone 4.
So, the questions are, please -

Does anyone have a recommendation for a company who offer used smartphones - in terms of product quality, customer service etc ?
I've mentioned iphone4 as a mate has one and is happy with it - any others ?

It's pointless me getting a new one as I won't cosset it and it will be abused - it won't be treated like a precious jewel as a lot of phone users do ! I'll use it mainly for music and pics, a bit of gaming and a tiny bit of internet whilst out & about. I don't need any fancy "up to date" features as generally I'll have no interest in it other than it being a tool. We've a ipod touch in the house and I like that alot, so the iphone seems like a natural choice.

What say you lot ?

just received a new Vodafone locked Iphone4 from ebay company that is supplied by Apple Store Sheffield with brand New Replacement Handsets fully IMEI checked and reported.

Its for my son in Y8 and cost me £229.

As gaz said there are decent ones on ebay and gumtree so a used 4/4s will do the job and just enjoy it Smile

giffgaff are very good and the prices are unbeatable

wasn't there a phone reception issue with the iPhone4 that you had to hold only part of the case to avoid blocking the antenna. this was fixed in the 4S...

I suggest to go for a Galaxy S2 or S3, better than the iPhones and cheaper as well. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

As suggested above... Check out Samsung. My galaxy ace does everything I need it to do.. From taking and posting photos to surfing this site, emails, movies, everything..... £99 brand new. On THREE, £10 a month, 300 minutes, 3000 3to3 minutes, 1gig data... More than enough for me as it connects to wifi when it's available. Previously..
