After my car valeting session earlier this week I tried to clean some threads off the inside of the offside front tyre - yes you guessed it - you can't wash off the threads exposed by shoulder wear on the tyre. I have ordered a couple of Nexens, it's only an experiment, but my questions are do I have the wheels aligned before or after fitting and should I get a fancy Hunter DSP job done and if so where up here.  Geoff

If they were my tyres I would be getting them aligned at the same time they are replaced. 2009 TDV8 Vogue SE - Bonatti Grey

immediately after will do. i used Protyre for £50. have never had uneven tread since. Make sure whoever does it has the right machine for a 4x4 as i think it can differ from 2 wheel drive?
