Removed dash today to replace speedo binnacle glass that had been cracked. Whilst replacing dash there are two bolts that need refitting in order to secure airbag. This was tricky as you have little room to manoeuvre and managed to drop one of the bolts never to be found. I managed get one bolt in partially . I'm going to have to remove dash again as I'm not happy that airbag is secure . Does anyone know what size these bolts are it looks like an M6 but cant be sure since its all back together again. If anyone has done this is there a method to putting these bolts back in.  Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

Conner, have you removed the lower glove box? As the bolt should be quite easy to find with the lower glovebox removed... and the upper one is simple to remove too

The bolts are an odd size, with a 10mm head but around an M16 thread (can't be 100% sure of size) take the remaining one out and into a bolt/fastenings type shop to match them or simply speak to your local Stealer

Lower one is all torx screws and is very easy

Tip, 2 hidden screws that hold the bottom of the glove box underneath

10 days with good friends in their farmhouse on the side of a mountain I'm now so f G relaxed it's rediculous

In the end I just secured bolt on one end and fed 5 tie wraps through other hole. I cant see it causing any issue as its now secure  Present :2008 TDV8 HSE
