Have driven about 1,600 miles in last few days down to france and back without any problems but yesterday on way to Cornwall, the dashboard lit up with several warnings and went immediately into limp home mode. Not ideal when overtaking a lorry!
Anyway, warning about stability control and lack of brake assist came up. We left it for about 5 minutes and then started again. All seemed fine for about another 5 miles until the same thing happened.
Called AA and they couldn't diagnose it with their diagnostics system as no error codes came up. We left it for about half an hour and decided to continue the journey as the warnings had gone again.
About a mile later, same thing happened and we managed to limp to a petrol station. Limp home mode really does mean limp!! Any kind of hill brings it almost to standstill. Anyway AA then did full recovery and car sent back to London and we carried on in hire car. Thankfully didn't really interfere with our holiday.
Just grateful it didn't happen while in France!
Will wait to see what the dealer says even they get it tomorrow. Am pretty sure the problem isn't related to either the assistive braking or stability control though.
