Bigger Boot

i may have to change the FFRR as the boot is a bit on the small side due to the fact that the dog now has to go in the boot and the child in the back seats...... as we know the boot is not the biggest in the RR compared to the size of the car due to the fact that the passengers in the back get plenty of room.

so anyone any ideas dont really want to spend more than £15k initial ideas are Q7, Merc GL.... possibly a disco although i have had one before so maybe fancy something different....

For 15k you'll get a cracking Volvo XC90. I've had 2 of them and you get a huge amount for your cash, very reliable as all of the faults have long since been rectified, bigger boot than the ff and better folding seats giving a huge flat loading bay. 2.4D5 diesel isn't the most powerful or frugal but there's plenty of go about it for everyday use.

Have a look at them, you may well be pleasantly suprised. 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Baltic Blue MY11

hi tom, no not me mate..... i do like the look of the volvo's but having looked at the spec section on autotrader they seem to have the same size boot as the FFRR......

where can you get these "cargo dividers" as that might keep me going for a bit....

The XC90 boot is a little deeper than the ff as the rear seats slide backwards and forwards. I found this out when loading it up with my golf gear. Possibly not enough of an improvement for what you are looking for but I wonder if your only option for a significant improvement may be a van. 4.4 TDV8 Vogue Baltic Blue MY11

thats an interesting feature as the one place i don't really need the space is the rear seats so that may do the job, thanks for the tip i will investigate further......

VW Caddy Maxilife Diesel Auto.
Really good vehicle for families with dogs.
The "boot" area is huge. Drives just like a family car.
You would get a really good one for £15k.

Buy a pick up truck Whistle I have an L200 as daily transport, loads of room for dog cage, tons of crap and luggage, usually three or four bags of postcrete in mine, plus a large German Shepard. Rolling with laughter add tools, odd race wheel and still plenty of room. You'll pick up one for about half your budget, do @ 35 mpg and keep FF for weekends or holidays Thumbs Up
