Range Rover S****!!

Ooooooh, I know we are full fat owners here but I have just seen the new Sport... Wow, that is a good looking truck that is!! Good job I am not a rich man because if I was thinking of buying a new full fat, for the first time I would now be seriously stuck between an FF and a Sport!

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Zermatt Silver

May I be permitted to respectfully diaagree?

It's nice, but not elegant. I don't want an abundance of vents and grilles and ripples in a RR. I want subdued sophistication.

On its own, the new RRS looks OK. I struggle with the aesthetics of the kicked-up rear end, though.

RRS or L405? My money's still on the L405. Looking at the prices JLR are quoting for the RRS, I feel that just a little extra gets me an L405, more space, that spilt tailgate and neater styling.

Of course, spending half the value of a top-spec new RRS gets a rather lovely L322 5.0 S/C. That's where my money would (probably) go instead. Si. <This is my name.

I eat rat poison.

A man ain't truly been insulted until he stands buck naked in front of a woman and she didn't even notice. Or care.

It's OK but I would still go with the L322 5.0 SC as well for now. Once those are "too old" I may get a 405. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Personally I really don't like the new sport, the back is hideous and cheap looking. Too much like an evoque, and I really really dislike that vehicle

Ofcourse you can mate!! Yes it's the chav in me that likes it. It does not look like a classic Range Rover, just quite cool. Smile But then if we are going along that line, then my ideal Range Rover would be a brand new classic and something else for the longer journeys!

Have you driven a Classic recently?

I had a M Reg 300 TDI softdash when I also had my FFRR TDV8 - crumbs how things have improved, Quantum Leap does not even cover half the gap!

They do look elegant mind, I have to agree there but the drive is pants & wallowy like you would not believe! Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

but they are so much more restrained than the current tinselated contraptions! Saw a mint black softdash in Knightsbridge the other day pulling up next to some dahhling in her White L405. Totally outclassed puts it mildly!

I am not sure what the ettiquettttttttt is on digging up old posts but I happened to catch an episode of Lovejoy on Sky this weekend, there was Jane driving a dark green 91 Range Rover classic.... (obviously immaculate as it was brand new) and I really want one now! I know they handle nothing like the new ones etc. But thats not an issue. For pottering about I would adore one. Problem is a good one in excellent order is prob going to cost more than my TDV8 is worth!!!

Found this picture with a blue one. Wow! Very Happy

I have still got one of my Classics, mint, original, 86k miles, FSH and every MOT. Cool and she sounds like a proper V8 - not one strangled by emissions! Makes a Modern V8 sound poo! 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17
