Which Diagnostic Tool???

Hi, my faultmate MSV has developed a fault Sad and I'm already facing a £50 fee for changing the faultmate over to my new motor (2007 4.2 SC).

I'm a bit new to this forum so I've noticed that a few people are using the Gap diagnostic system. From what I can see it looks good.

How does it compare to the faultmate? Does the Gap product have the same kind of tools?

What are some assembled experts views?

Cheers Chris

Chris

If you type "IID tool" into the search function you will find nothing but praise, not only for the tool , but the support the guys give .

Latest version is Bluetooth , and as soon as i can rustle up the cash , that's the one for me.
Island 4x4 seem cheapest to buy from Alcohol and eBay is never a good mix

Hi Chris,

Can only agree with Guy. The IID tool is the best and support from Gap Diagnostics is brilliant. I have the bluetooth version and it works very well with the I-Phone or I-Pad.

Best price a few weeks ago was Island4x4 at around £380. The good thing is that Gap are constantly refining the product.

Cheers,

Thanks guys Thumbs Up

Chris, we do nearly all. I am not speaking from firsthand experience as I've never used an MSV, but from feedback we've received from users of both systems, our philosophy seems to be a little different than BBS's. We want to make sure every function we provide works and that we can provide support in case of a problem. BBS supplies a very well kitted out electronic toolbox.

Our method takes a little longer to put into place, but we are getting there. Have a look at the thread at the top of the technical section - it gives a good idea of where we are. http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic22489.html
