High mileage tdv8

High everyone, been looking for a ffrr for a while now but still havent found the right one. I have been looking at 2005 facelifted petrol v8s but havent fount the right one yet. However a 2007 3.6 tdv8 vogue se has come up at £13,000 the downside being it has high mileage(166000) , it is however very clean and shows very little signs of wear. What would be everyones opinion on a vehicle with such high miles?

I've got one at 133,000 and it's perfectly fine. Just make sure you get it checked out before jumping in. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Ah yes the old spectre of "high" mileage raises its head!

Perhaps the OP can't afford his model of choice at the prices a "low" mileage example might expect to fetch, so you'll forgive me if I, personally, find your comment more than a little condescending! Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Is it on your side of the water or ours??

If it was me i would budget on getting all fluids done which would be a good few £££ but worth it, especially as the gearbox would likely not have been done. Downside is if its your side of the water there isn't exactly much Motorway travelling a car can do over there so its not going to have spent a lot of those miles sat at 70 compared to a UK car with high miles.

How many Owners has it had?
Why is the last one selling it? FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
Mantec Sump Guard, Rigid Load liner, MY10 BT upgrade.

The car is one owner with full dealer history, not sure why its up for sale though. The interior is immaculate with virtually no wear so might perhaps indicate long journeys but not sure. The car was originally registered in southern ireland but has been re registered and mot'd in NI. I would agree with comments about avoiding high milers and usually buy around 50/60,000 but just thought id throw the idea out there to guage opinion.

If it was 5k I bet you would not say no to the high mileage! My point is, if the car is in great condition then I would consider it based on service history and age. Age as in a 2007 FFRR with that mileage has probably done a lot of long trips. But it really does come down to price.
My work car is 3 years old and I clocked up 126,000 today. I would say the engine is in excellent condition. Previously..

It is the high miler owners Whistle who give the rest of you confidence to "keep calm and carry on" Twisted Evil

Seriously, condition, history and how its has been used are more important to me .
