TDV8 4.4

Hi all,

I am thinking of getting FFRR with 4.4 TDV8 but would like to gather some opinions on good and bad before committing to buying as well as typical stuff which goes wrong or to look out for

cheers
G

Had mine for over a year with 48k on the clock, never missed a beat with plenty of power and torque, no mech issues. Either bullet proof or I'm lucky! Current MY2020
Gone: 1 x L405 and 2 x L322's

2011 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

Got mine 1 week ago and it's amazing !
Got 42 mpg on motorway at 60mph for 20 miles, reset computer and got 33 mpg on motorway at 85 mph ish for 100 miles followed by 40 miles round town. Reset again and now getting around 28 mpg around town for last 40 miles. All these are from the computer.
Equipment levels on my vogue are excellent !
Performance from the engine and gearbox combination are unbelievable !
Lets hope I keep loving her Smile

You're lucky. Yes, the engine is solid but about every other part of my car is falling to bits (no real exaggeration either).

Incredible engine and vehicle, the torque is brutal! The TDV8 4.4 L322 In my experience are the most reliable of RR's to date. The 4.4 V8 diesel is the engine that RR's have been crying out for for years. Power and incredible economy. I get 29 and 35 on a run being sensible. I run several RR's and LR's daily and have owned nothing but LR since 1973 so have a fair bit of experience with them Thumbs Up 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

I am considering it although been driving my D3 with no major issue all around Europe and I have to say I am a bit scared of the amount of electric / electronic toys on FFRR but would love to have the power of V8.

Will have to do some reading on that car but thank you all for all replays.
