If you need a Genuine Westfalia Towbar fitted...

With a little extra effort you can save yourself over £600 on Dealer prices.

1. Got to PF Jones website and buy the right OE Westfalie towbar for your MY car:

http://www.pfjones.co.uk/tow-bars/tow-bars...wbars.html

2. Get your local LR dealer to fit it.

Stratsone charged me £240 inc VAT to fit mine

The towbar cost me £440 inc electrics pack.

Total therefore was £680.

Dealer quoted me £1300 to supply and fit. Shocked

The problem is the dealers can't source the parts cheap enough. Discovery 4 HSE

PF Jones fitted one to my dads but they didn't fit LR electrics as requested, so check.

They sell genuine electric kits, which I then got Stratstone to fit. Discovery 4 HSE

Top tip.

The quote from land rover made me fall down too.....

I got a local fitter to do mine, told them what bar i wanted, got the electrics from local md and the local fitter put them on, then ran round to a local indy and got them to program the electrics in.

Cant remember how much it was as it was a while ago, but £425 for the bar, and £100 for the electrics rings a bell.

Didnt realise i could have bought it and got the md to fit it. They seem to be doing this more and more, read a post the other day where the op has sourced his own rad and got the md to fit it. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Actually, they can

The problem is, they choose not to, as they make more money that way.

That said, I do know of a certain dealer who was selling the OEM parts at genuine prices Shocked

this is very common from what I have seen, and has lead to a few very annoyed customers! especially with substandard Censored charged out at genuine prices - its not an issue if the customer requests for it to save a few £ though, but very naughty of a dealer to charge full whack for non genuine parts 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

Or what he said ^^^ Thumbs Up

Takes 3-4 hours to fit. Hardest part is removing all the interior plastics and trims
