K&N filters

Possibly a stupid question but........

..........is it worth the extra expense of K&N filters for my rr TD6 ?


Im putting together my maintenance schedule / regimen so as to look after my ffrr of which I love very dearly Razz

run a K&N air filter dont think they do an oil filter but maybe wrong.
I think it gives more induction roar than the standard filter but in theory you get the K&N benefits? Mine was a blue one! Smile

there was interesting test Pete at BAS did with the defender and used different types of air filters to see which provided the most gain in power, Genuine Land Rover was the pick of the bunch

I guess the standard filter it is then after eading that web link.
Happy days as the K&N filters arnt so cheap either so I can use the extra money to spend on more nicey's for my rr Thumbs Up

I tried a K & N and there is definately more intake roar with it fitted............... 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Its rather simple really.
The only way a filter of a certain size can let more air through is to have bigger holes. Bigger holes mean bigger dirt particles can get through. And more intake roar can get out.
