LATEST UPDATE! RANGE ROVER 40TH BIRTHDAY GAYDON 1ST MAY 2010

Hi everyone,

And yes I'm over here from the RRS Forum - and just wanted to see if any of you would like to join us for the Birthday Celebrations at Gaydon on 1st May. Promises to be a great day out - and hoping to arrange a London meet at Lookers Park Royal and if some people from the midlands want to meet and come down - the more the merrier. We have between 10 and 15 RRS driving on that day, and it would be great to have some FFRR people there too.

I know you probably don't like us folk very much, but we love your cars and would like to have a really big turn out if possible.

Thanks

Nick

(Only joking!)

On a serious note, this could be a great day out so thanks for the heads up Thumbs Up

Many of us came from the RRS forum, I was a moderator there for some time! (2316 posts!) I practically built that site! Cool

(Martin, Just kidding!)

Is there a cost associated with the birthday weekend? I was a part of the Heritage 60th birthday celebrations, the RR turnout was pathetic and LR didn't seem to back it at all. I felt very disappointed with it overall.

I saw you at the meet myself - when you had the green FFRR - you and the Mrs were having lunch I seem to remember! There are, so far, 10 people signed up to attend, including James from Lookers, Wil and Sim (aka Misery and Wil Wonka) - i am going to make some calls next week to get costs of parking and admission etc - and if some people want to go into the actual museum etc etc.

Would be a great day out, and would be good to get 10 FFRR members along too. Unfamiliar with this site, but do you think it's the kinda thing you folk like to do? Even if with RRS folk? Smile

Of course it is, it just depends on people's availability.

You have a good memory, we did indeed take lunch on the tailgate! I was surprised how many people commented on it at the time.

What were you driving that day?

My current one needs some serious TLC to get the tar off and a good polish before it gets an outing! Shocked Discovery 4 HSE

Well Nick (npinks) will tell you, I'm very much into my detailing these days - and have my car looking great. Takes a lot of work, I am doing 8 hours work every weekend on it!!! OCD at it's best...get some Tardis for the tar and some Super Resin Polish to bring up a shine, and then wax it....

I came with Wil, Misery and Jayman last time, all of us in RRS....lots of LR's, just hope this time we see more RR's....will be a good day out for sure.

Very tempted, but too long to keep a 9 month old baby in the car.
Or can you stop the whole convoy for nappy changes? Laughing

Realistically I'll have to give it a miss I think.

I was thinking of going up as part of the RRR lot, but wont know till later.

Could be good but everything seems spread out over the weekend so is anyone else camping?
