HDC/Air Susp Inactive and other gremlins!

Got the dreaded "HDC/Air suspension inactive" come up on the display this weekend, along with the usual three amber warning lights and a couple of other oddities. After a short while of driving the steering then went heavy and then the speedometer stopped working completely. Also, when starting up the vehicle, both front side lights flash 5-6 times then stop. I've tried the battery disconnect and wheel-to-wheel lock to see if anything clears, but the error messages are still there! And I've checked the alternator and it's charging ok (14.2v).

Having read numerous posts on the forum about this problem I'm going to check the ABS sensors tomorrow to see if that throws anything up, but does anyone have any idea if these problems are all connected? The heavy steering, flashing lights and no speedo are a worry!

Thanks guys! Cheers

Greg

Do you have LED front side lights bulbs?
If so, they always flash a few time on start up, I think it's the ECU running it's tests. Wink

Ah, yes I do! Thanks for that! That's one thing I can discount from the gremlins then Wink

Just hoping someone can give me a few ideas on the heavy steering and no speedo! Cheers
