Don't worry about the mileage if the servicing has been kept up. I've got a Jag petrol (4.4) and it is often below 2000 rpm on the motorway. Cruising, these engines don't work hard.

Close!. Its a Noble M12. Its a 3l v6 twin turbo. Makes about 350bhp, only weights 1070kg. 0-60 is all said and done in around 3.8 seconds.

There is a LR interface for iPod called an ACM, Audio Connectivity Module.

I think you'll struggle for high 20's even in the TDV8 unless you drive like a saint all the time.

TBH, anything around the 20 mark will do fine!

. . . You'll get a mint sensible miles high spec AJV8 for your budget - they occasionally pop up via the LR Used website - If you're after something around 20 ish MPG - that's the one.

Don't rule out a SC - Mine happily returns 22 @ 70mph, 17-19 on country A roads but 12-15 round town. If you don't drive them like an idiot they are not as bad as most people think but it is nice to have the extra power when you want it. When I picked up mine the trip computer showed 10mpg and I was a bit worried but I've never managed to get it that low since having it. If you defiantly do not want a SC then NEVER test drive one, if you do your plans will likley change. Edit:- my running average with about 70% town 25% country and 5% M/Way is usually about 17mpg |

Another big issue with fuel economy is the length of your trips. My commute is only 20 minutes. Longer drivers, even under the same conditions, yield better results. |

One of my considerations when choosing aside from the actual car and spec was resale value.
