Air Con Issues

I have got what may be a slight problem.

The thermostats are all set to 22, but I can be driving along then suddenly the whole car starts blowing freezing cold air at me. Does any one have any hints or tips.

There is a different temperature "control" for the centre face level vents - controlled by the horizontal wheel in the middle of the dashboard. I had thought my air con was a bit duff in the TDV8 compared to my TD6 which was icy cold.

however, since we've had some nicer warmer days, even set at 20 degrees the car is lovely and cool, it seems to have decided it's ok now. I was on the verge of paying for a re-gas but now I will save my money.
