ive been considering getting one of these, is it simple to transfer it to another vehicle using the activation key or would i need to contact RSW direct ?

I may be wrong but I don't remember the need for an activation key.
Just download the software from Allcoms site, plug in the lead to the car and laptop and use it.
The device isn't locked to any particular vehicle.
No need to contact Storey.

Once you have downloaded the software from RSW site,you can try the activation key i have or contact storey wilson at RSW direct as i did.He was very helpful and sent the new activation code within 48hrs.

Can anyone confirm whether a new activation code is in fact required to hook this system up to a new vehicle.

I'm very interested in the second unit that has come up for sale but don't want to be stuck with something that won't work.

You just need to email RSW with the original buyers name and or email address to prove it was bought from them. You will then be sent a link to download the software and an activation code. Ive just done it myself although it took a few days to sort out.

I believe the software is registered to my email address, they will happily change it to yours for free,

Once that's done, you can have the key emailed to you on demand whenever you need it, even if you change PC
