Anyone done/doing any winter touring?

Ours is languishing in storage at present. I did think about taking it out whilst the weather is still fairly mild

Sorry - didn't see what section it was in.

Doesn't sound fun with the current storms. Sad

Depends on how lucky you are with the weather. If its frosty and sunny you can have a great time even if its crisp new snow. HOWEVER windy wet conditions are a nightmare and you will wish you stayed at home.....

We took my 'new' motorhome out at the end of November for a weekend to see what was what.

It was cold - near freezing - but sunny and with little wind. And we had a really chilled (no pun intended) and enjoyable time.

Although we've got two heaters - a Truma gas and a Webasto - we only needed the Webasto on low to keep the interior nicely warm.

But as agreed, I'd not wish to spend a weekend away with constant rain in any climate.

Have another long weekend planned at the end of February. Si. <This is my name.

Yep. 27th through to 2nd of Jan. Cotswolds. New year in the tintent is awesome. Order a curry, absolutely fekkin loads of beer and a bunch of family actually doing strange stuff like talking to each other instead of staring at the gogglebox. Love it. Thumbs Up
