FSR

Hi Dan

I've been quoted £37.00 including p/p for a genuine part FSR (JGO000021). Seems to be a good price, but if you can get back to me with a quote asap I'd very much appreciate it, as I must order one today.

No worries if you can't reply today chap Wink Cheers

Greg

Let us know how you get on, were there any symptoms (other than the flat battery) that made you suspect the FSR? Geoff

Hi supershuttle - Mainly a constantly flat battery and lots of strange noises from the blower fan playing up (taking time to kick in, whirring noises, etc). Previously, the battery had been struggling to hold it's charge, despite being charged up regularly AND having a solar trickle charger fitted last weekend to keep it topped up. Something was severely draining it and the trickle-charger just wasn't powerful enough to keep it topped up.

However, now that I've fitted the new FSR and carried out a parasitic battery drain test I hope the FSR has addressed the battery problem. It seems to be holding charge but I've left the charger on overnight just to be sure. Early signs are encouraging though. Despite spending 40 mins doing the parasitic test I re-tested the battery and it had hardly lost any of it's charge Smile Normally, it would be dead after only 5 minutes of working on it with doors open, boot open, messing around with electrics etc., etc., !!

I've logged this as a separate posting on the Forum to find out what the minimum reading should be for a parasitic test. Wink Cheers

Greg
