for those of us with several vehicles it raises a slight problem re storage, having a few classic LR's and RR's got me thinking has anybody used one of these car covers or similar, and does it lead to problems with the paint wearing in corners?

Vogue... I have just spent ages getting a cover. Some I looked at were no better than a poly bag. I ended up going for a 4 layer breathable 100% water and 100% UV proof material. It has a very soft fleecy inside and a soft outside as well. I washed the car well before I used it and could see no evidence of marking after a week of use. In the last 3 weeks it's been off/on 3 or 4 times with no issues. It's a stormforce one I have. The luxury halfords one was also a contender, but it was not fitted.

@ vogue, the best experience I have with carcovers are the carcoons. Disadvantage, they need space.
But the car stays dry, dustfree and moist/water that comes with the car inside the carcoon disapears in no time.
It is more expensive as a normal carcover but absolutely worth the money.
I even have two old ones on the attic of one of my barns with furniture, old admin etc. works great.

Robert, rest assured they are NOT Dutch. They're German (now who says Germans don't have a sense of humor) although they were very popular in Holland as well (in the 80's so they are forgiven). MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
