Will be interesting to see if they pay out in full...my insurance broker reckons home contents insurance is a better bet for a no quibble pay out, having not tested them I can't really comment Confused

As above, if not covered, Apple have a standard OOW replacement policy. My 64Gb Ipad 3 was £250 after I dropped it and smashed both the screen and bent the case heavily. 2011 Stornaway Grey 5.0SC Autobiography

I had a 6 month old note. I went on a sailing holiday. It didn't make it.

I replaced it with a Galaxy S3.

One week later I dropped it and it needed a new screen.

Since then it's lasted nearly a year so far. I've been more careful.

I have my S3 in this fugly Otterbox case because I sometimes do drop them. And of course, thanks to Captain Murphy, it only dropped when I was doing something to it (swapping SIMs or SD) out of the case. It was fine.

The case looks very sturdy and makes it a bit bulky but I'd rather do that than have to get another one sorted or repaired from the Netherlands as that takes weeks. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

IMO i wouldnt bother with the insurance from your mobile provider or the normal stores.

Protectmybubble seems to be one of the best ones around and a much simpler claims process from what i've been told and i worked in the industry for a few years so know whats what with them Wink

Lifeproof is good for the fact its watertight Very Happy FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

The Otterbox case has raised edges and a double skin so on a flat fall the screen won't touch the ground and the dampening of the edges might just make the difference.

I have it because it is very rugged and functional but man it looks fugly.

My iPhone 5 is a thing of beauty and naked as the day it was, errr, born!

I will probably drop it eventually (I am very anal about my phones) then off to Apple I will go

In the meantime it's a joy to use because it ain't stuck in some fugly box!! (although I have lowered myself to a screen protector) 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!
