Netherlands 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Santorini Black

They look great mate, really they do... Thumbs Up

Fully understand you want to buy the right cage to protect them. I have a retractable dogguard but then we only have 1 border collie who as soon as he jumps in the FF will be in a deepsleep enjoying the airsuspension... Mr. Green

By the way, you need a good laugh at least once a day... Glad to be of service!! Mike.

Just need wheels on that chair to make it a cart and you've made use of your "horses"! Mr. Green

When one of our 'highly reliable' cars develops a drive line fault, you can just harness those two and away you go. (Even more full efficient than a TD6.) Thumbs Up

My wolfhound has been called pony and many other things, my favourite was polar bear Smile

He was a big boy (upper 10% of wolfhounds) but as gentle as they are reputed to be.

Don't worry what anyone calls them, they look like great dogs to me Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

No probs with me what people call them as they have different pet names they get called.

Am sure a very good friend of mine named the chocolate one ( Reeko ) , he named him Rehab and the poor fella does and has been through the mill with allergy problems as well as suffering from separation anxiety and on top of all he is seriously OCD but hey he takes after me in that department ..... the separation anxiety increased badly after and this is just one of the bad luck things we have been through.

In 2008 it turned out the the house next door ( had changed hands a couple of times and was eventually used as rented accommodation ) well on this particular day I though a sikie and was heavily into world of warcraft at the time Embarassed , was playing the game when all the smoke detecters started going off , long story short the tenants had converted the top floor of the house into a canibus factory and by passed the electric metre and the house caught fire ( its weird looking back that I was meant to take that day off ) rang the water fairies < the use of this is Baldy's fault Whistle any way they turned up and the first thing they did was opened my loft hatch and looking back I think that the worst thing they could of done but it seemed like for ever before they started tackling the fire .... they had there white board on the front of the fire engine , am only guessing down to health and safety.

Well the last thing I remember was walking the hounds out and looking up to see my loft was a fireball and shouted at the fireman and they did what they had to do but I do believe that fire had a huge impact on Reeko , we were put in temporary accommodation for 18 months ( extremely close to the runway at Heathrow Airport ) while they went through the process of rebuilding our house ( wont go in to that because I think I have gone on enough )

Sorry for rabbeting on as didn't mean to go into so much detail but hey it comes down to this ..... I love them both to bits Thumbs Up and the other one is called Zak ....... unfortunately they are both it what I call the scary age area , Reeko is nine and Zak is ten and I don't mind admitting what is coming scares the hell out of me Big Cry but this is the problem with dogs , they just don't live long enough .... sorry again for going on Thumbs Up

The wolfhound turned 8 and died shortly after that (at Christmas), just after I returned from being offshore for a long stint. One day I was walking him and he was absolutely fine, next day sick as the proverbial and died a few days later.

Best dog I ever had in my life and I hope at some point to be in a position where I can have another (that is after we stop travelling the world) as they are the best breed afaik.

Seems like you had your fair share of good and bad luck, lets hope things are only up from here !!! MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Am really sorry to hear that Crying or Very sad as I know from previous dogs we have had the lost it is something that is dealt differently by all individuals.

I am sure at some point you will get another wolfhound and will have another enjoyable experience.

For me its like losing a family member and can be extremely traumatic and upsetting.

This breed we have at the moment are called Bracco Italiano , most people we come across have never heard of them as they are a rare breed in this country.

I can honestly say I have never had such a strong bond as I have had with these two , especially Zak ..... he is so much like a person its scary but I know that there age is against them and I just have to try and enjoy as much time as I and the Boss can spend with them.

I can't wait for the 6th of July because that is the day we will be loading the new car up ( I just so hope I can get the cage organised before then even if it is just a temporary solution but time is against me as the car is still with Craig and hopefully will be ready wednesday ) and going down to the New Forest where we rent a house for two weeks and everything we do is organised around the hounds and just to get away from all the horrible events we have had to deal with Thumbs Up

Dave

Sounds familiar, organizing life around the big hairy friend(s). Hope your car is done as well (mine won't be ready for another 2 or 3 weeks I'm afraid and then I still need to sort out the gearbox problem after the first test drives) as it would be nice to go away for a bit.

I have seen very few Braccos in Holland that I can remember, they are more rare then Wolfhounds I think.

Enjoy them and life as much as you can. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Baldylocks, yes I know Kini, he's one in a million when you can understand him.

A friend from work was recently unfortunate enough to have someone run into the back of his car, whilst transporting his dog home. The CAB box survived undamaged and his dog was safely removed with the assistance of the water fairies.

The car was a total write off. Three things in a blokes life his dog,his car and a Cornish pasty, nothing else matters.
