2006 Range Rover Autobiography Supercharged Zambezi Silver
Oil Leak Between Front Diff and Sump

I was changing the oil and filter yesterday and noticed a slight oil drip (engine) from where the front diff bolts up to the sump.......it must be fairly recent as it's always been dry as a bone previously.

Had a look at Topix, and it seems that there is an 'O' Ring that seals the diff / sump interface - its a £3.00 part but unfortunately looks like a big job to repair Big Cry

Anyone experienced thsi before ??? Stolen / Gone: 2006MY Supercharged LPG Autobiography - Zambezi Silver with Sand/Jet/Jet Oxford Leather.....

ah, that’s interesting, I’ve had an oil weep (not enough to drip) from what I thought was the diff itself. I assumed it was weeping from the join in the diff housing but now its slightly worse than before the oil that’s weeping looks more like engine oil as its darker than the diff oil so makes sense i could have a slight leak from the diff to sump seal............as you say the seal is cheap but the job to change the seal will be an expensive pain looking at Rave. .........................Did you take it any further to get yours sorted?
