Not really any good reason to do it the opposite way i can think of, technically the same area of felt so same cost.....[/b] There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I need to check but from inside the front and rear have been felted horizontally with top ovrrlading bottom. not sure if overhang is big enough but its correct on the face of it. the side has been felted vertically with 2 sections overlapping the middle section. 3 wifths of felt are enough to cover the span. need to get a ladder just to check he hasnt put a 2nd layer of felt on the correct way but I know I'm wasting my time as this whole roof is getting worse as I look at it.

I'd probably meet the builder half way, it's obvious he doesn't want to do the work.

It may be that what you can see is the felt from the front and back folded over the hip and the guy has then put the felt for that side over the top? That would be perfectly fine. Difficult to say without seing it. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
