should be horizontally overlapping (rolled out across the roof as opposed to up and down), upper over lower (obviously) about 100mm. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Are you saying he has run the felt vertically?

The only reason he would have done that is he hasn't got a clue what he was doing!

If so, it needs to be stripped and put right.

Not really any good reason to do it the opposite way i can think of, technically the same area of felt so same cost.....[/b] There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I need to check but from inside the front and rear have been felted horizontally with top ovrrlading bottom. not sure if overhang is big enough but its correct on the face of it. the side has been felted vertically with 2 sections overlapping the middle section. 3 wifths of felt are enough to cover the span. need to get a ladder just to check he hasnt put a 2nd layer of felt on the correct way but I know I'm wasting my time as this whole roof is getting worse as I look at it.
are you coverd on home insurace for this sort of thing? feel bad as my inlaws pumped all their savings into the roof and all I keep doing is finding faults. I dont want to but its hard not to. plus I know how much agro my father inlaw is getting from his wife for hiring such a bunch of cowboys. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

I'd probably meet the builder half way, it's obvious he doesn't want to do the work.

Ask him to supply the lead and say you'll do the work or have it done, it isn't difficult. 2009 Vogue TDV8 Nara Bronze

It may be that what you can see is the felt from the front and back folded over the hip and the guy has then put the felt for that side over the top? That would be perfectly fine. Difficult to say without seing it. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
