i would just use sand paper to key and clean off with white spirit to remove grease. I painted mine satin black but now thinking silver looks better. Best finish is achieved by removing and spraying although I did my by hand with hammerite and they look quite pleasing to the eye Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

I wouldnt bother sandblasting. I did mine in situ taking my time with a small paint brush and for awkward areas a small artists paintbrush. Hammerite will be fine I did not need the heat resistant stuff normal hammerite still looks good six months in. Dont forget to do hub as well to complete Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

Think that silver from gaz's pics looks lovely... Makes the alloy stand out with a nice silver caliper finish Range Rover Autobiography Black Conversion |
