It shows when the car is actually sensing another vehicle in front and is actually physically slowing the vehicle, if the vehicle in front speeds up and goes out of range then this light goes out but the green one stays on to show the system is still in use. Agueroooooooooo. 93-20

The orange light indicates it has detected another vehicle in front....can be super sensitive though and is a bit irritating if for example you are using ACC overtaking at 70mph a lorry doing say 50mph on the outside lane of a dual carriageway particularly if going round a long sweeping bend as it tends to pick up that lorry and puts the anchors on just at wrong time...the only way to get past is to overide the system by pressing the accelerator again, a small irritation in an otherwise useful feature IMO |
