Looking at an '07 S/C Tomorrow. Any Tips?

I'm going to have a serious look at an '07 S/C VSE tomorrow and could potentially buy it if the dealer has been accurate in his description and not told me any porkies in the long conversation we've had.

It's done 63,000 miles with a full LR history.

Now, I've searched as best I could in here and seem to constantly find nothing but glowing recommendations from current and past owners to buy one. So that's good.

But, other than the usual FF specifics, any other areas I should be looking at or questions to ask?

A TDV8 VSE could be considered instead, but I only do 7,000 miles a year and can't get that excited over them. Well, not as much as an S/C anyway.

Opinions, instructions, PM's or forum redirects welcome. Si. <This is my name.

FWIW, I'd never have another TDV8..... and at the miles you're going the fuel costs won't be a major differentiating fator. The noise and performance (and maybe a cheaper buy price) will be.... Very Happy Graham

New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

Weak points on the SC :
- rear brake calipers
- transmission cooler (all the early ZFs had that apparently, also Ford etc. was a design fault on ZFs side)
- suspension airbags (on mine they went about a year ago, the front ones)
- suspension arm rubbers are also going around this age potentially
- coolant pump of the supercharger can be wired the wrong way
- I also remember something on the radiators, they can fail as well (hoping mine will hold on because they're quite expensive).

Hope you find a good one, there is nothing as nice as feeling the surge of a SC and the whine of the supercharger gently making itself heard Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

I may have bought one.

A 2007 S/C with full LR Approved warranty and two years free servicing and MOT's.

It's being fully serviced including the gearbox.

Mileage is 63,000.

Zambezi silver with black leather and piano.

I'll post a few pictures later. Hopefully collect it next Saturday. Si. <This is my name.

Mick, it was only aimed at you. Razz

£21,750. To be fair, I haven't compared that to book prices but, other than Saxton, there was only 1 other '07 in the country that I liked. And with 10,000 less mileage but a mon-franchised sale, it was almost £3k more.

Clearly, I didn't approach Saxton at all.

The servicing and servicing package added a lot of sway with me. Si. <This is my name.
