Traded the Disco3 in on thursday, and picked up my 55plate (exterior facelift) TD6 Vogue. Wow, even with the old TD6 they do live up to the hype! Will get some photos up when Iget a chance. Shes Cairns blue with Parchment. Shes only done 34k, hardly a mark on it. Only thing Im not keen on is the 18" wheels, I liked the older style dished 18"ers but not so keen on these. I had planned to have it remapped after reading reports that they respond very well, then when I noticed I had averaged 31.6 mpg over a 120mile trip with only 25 miles of motorway I started to become suspicious.... then found a DTUK bag and business card in the handbook... so thats saved me a few hundred quid!! Im finding new toys on it all the time... didnt realise it had the TV and reversing camera, and the venture cams pretty cool. Stereo is awesome too. Really chuffed. Just trying to stop myself ordering the supercharged grille and vent kit...... must resist!!! |

Hoping to do a deal with Doc for the grilles. Bonnet looks easy enough, have got the side steps that seem to attach to the front mudguards on mine, so may be a bit more tricky? Unfortunately think I will have to get someone to fit the side vents as Im a paraplegic, so cant stand to reach down in the bonnet . 110 miles round trip down to Crumlin, South wales today, loads of hilly twisty roads and I still just scraped 30.mpg. Was driving like a granny tho, and even turned the car off at a really long roadworks traffic lights!! . Just trying to justify to myself and the Mrs that they are not that expensive to run!!! |

Thought it was about time I put some pics up, spent yesterday evening washing and applying autoglym super resin polish, then some extra gloss protection. Arm rather stiff this morning. Fitted the supercharged grille and vents last week, just waiting for a black and silver rear badge to match. Still cant decide about the wheels, I would like to go to 19" vogues or similar, but havn't got the room to have the 18"s lying about, and not sure If I can be bothered with the hassle of selling em.... hmmmm.

if you like the look of the 18" keep them, the 19" ride isn't bad its just the 18" is a lot lot better. |

That IS true. Having had those exact wheels on my 05 facelift TD6 I know they were smoother. however, the 19s make the SC stuff look better. It looks a bit odd having the smallest wheels with the nicest freshest exterior.
