New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

My feeling the SC is pretty bulletproof and so the AJV8 NA will also be pretty solid I guess. The BMW seems to be a little less solid, considering at least three people on here are having to rebuild their engine or replace it.

Not sure which diesel is the best of them all. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Might as well start this off, td6 as most reliable in my opinion. prob the simplest ff engine. too much to go wrong on the newer engines and a few 4.4 petrol engines needing replaced on this site. td6 is the way to go Very Happy '04 td6 se

If the TD6 is more reliable it's compensated for by the transmission. Laughing

The fact is Land Rover really upped their game post 2007MY and most TDV8's and later AJV8's are very reliable.

As someone who has seen the stories on various online places I have to say the TD6 or the SC are the best engines.

the TDV8 has a lo of issues, more so in the sport, but even if under warranty, LR stock of them is always on back order at the minute. Its a worse situation than the 2.7 TDV engines TBH.

If you want reliability get an SC as the only thing I've seen on here that breaks on them is the intank balancing pump, which is common across he other engines as well as a failure issue, but the SC is very thirsty as well to compensate for it! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Well back in the real world of real cars as oppossed to forum stories the TDV8 requires the least attention based on the hundreds (of real cars) that go through my hands.... Thumbs Up

True to a certain extent Gaz but to be fair you only but very good cars to start with. If we ask Dan what the availability of each engine was I would use that as a good indicator of their reliability.

And I've had 2 tdv8's self combust Sad FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

I also believe your TD6 is in intensive care at the moment and not looking at an early recovery. Confused

Were the TDV8's (presuming RRS's) fed on Bio Diesel too?

Nope not a drop Smile

My td6 is the way it is due to solicitor fees for ass kicking a lady who thinks its correct behaviour to have an open legs policy... Wink FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
